Management & Directors
Suleiman Salum (Managing Director)
Suleiman has extensive experience in the role of Project Engineer / Engineer on a number of construction projects. He is adept in design, co-ordination, supervision and management. Previous experience at Logistics Engineering Ltd, Howard Humphrey’s (T) Ltd, M.A. Kharafi & Sons Construction Co have included experience in contractor compliance with specifications, compliance with national health and safety legislation, compliance with building regulations and final inspections. Suleiman holds a BSC. Eng (Hons) from Makerere University, Kampala, as well as a postgraduate certificate in Finance Management from the Institute of Finance Management, Dar es Salaam. He is a registered professional engineer with the Tanzania Engineers Registration Board.
Valerian L Minja (Director)
Valerian Minja has extensive experience in the role of Project Engineer/Poject/Site Manager on a variety of projects ranging from Concrete Dams, Silos, Multistorey Buildings to Industrial Building Systems. He has previously worked with class one construction companies (both local and international) such as Wade Adams Construction (8 years), Skanska International (2 years) and Caspian Ltd (7 years). Mr Minja holds a MSC in Hydraulic Structures from the Institute of Construction, Bucharest. He holds a certificate in Hydropower Management from Swedpower, Stockholm, Sweden. He has had training in Practical Skills in AUTOCAD Techniques in Sweden and has a Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety. He is a registered Engineer in Tanzania.
Piet Coetzer (Technical Consultant)
Piet Coetzer has over 35 years civil construction and road building experience with Grinaker (Apprentice to Projects Manager) and WJM Construction (Contracts Manager) in South Africa. Piet Coetzer has extensive experience in Construction as Project Director on a variety of projects ranging from Effluent Treatment Plants to Brew-Houses. He consults extensively in concrete structural repair work for various Civil Engineering Consulting companies in East Africa and specializes in Construction Chemical Materials.
Gerald V Ngowi (Contracts & Project Manager)
Gerald has worked in the building industry for 11 years specifically in project design, management and construction. He has been involved in building projects such as NIC Pension Plaza, LAPF Millenium Tower, Novotel and Ibis hotels in Ethiopia. Gerald hold his BSc Civil Engineering (Hons) from the University of Dar es Salaam. He is a member of the Institute of Engineers & Engineers Registration Board of Tanzania.
Hamisi R Salum (Project Manager)
Hamisi has long experience in the production sector, particularly mechanical fabrication/erection, building and industrial construction. He has also been involved with the mining sector construction works in Geita Gold Mine, Kahama Mining Ltd and Buzwagi where he aquired high standard SHE working skills usually associated with mining works. Hamisi has attended TPC Training School and obtained a 4 year certification in Mechanical Engineering
Julian J Mutunzi (Financial Controller)
Recruited by Multistruct in October 2011 – Julian has 3 years’ experience with Price Waterhouse Coopers in the capacity as a Senior Associate where he was involved with various statutory audits across different industries. He has also held senior accounting positions in the motor, hospitality and insurance industries. Julian is a qualified accountant and is a member of The Association of Chartered certified Accountants (ACCA). He holds a Bachelor of Accounting and Finance degree from Mzumbe University
